In 1983, Harry Walker, having worked in marketing for various international confectionery companies for ten years, made his dream of owning his own chocolate business come true. He opened a shop in Burlington, Ontario, where chocolates and candy were made in the back and sold from the store front. As demand for his mouth-watering chocolates increased, he and his wife, Anne, moved the candy production to a larger factory with its own small retail outlet while opening a larger flagship store in Burlington, as well as stores in Hamilton and Oakville. Walker’s Chocolates is a Canadian business and in 2002 it entered its second generation with the welcome addition of daughter, Jennifer, making it truly a family-run business. Since the beginning, it has consistently won “Readers Choice” and “Consumer Choice” awards as the area’s top chocolatier and has continued to make a wide variety of superb hand-made confections at affordable prices.

There is always something tasty being created in our Candy Kitchen, where centres are made in small batches and hand-stirred in copper kettles to let the full flavour of fresh butter, fruit, and nuts develop slowly in the traditional way. We make over 50 different exquisite chocolate, truffle and sugarless centres to tantalize your taste buds and please your palate.
